Dr. Frank D. Boone,
owner of North Cobb
Animal Clinic,
has lived in Kennesaw and operated the clinic since 1971. Initially, he
worked with large and small animals, but as the North Cobb community grew,
the practice began specializing in small animals.
Dr. Boone graduated from the
University of Georgia Veterinary School in 1969, with an undergraduate
degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg, Virginia.
(Michael Vick, Atlanta Falcons quarterback, played football at V.P.I.) In
1974, Dr. Boone also received a law degree from Atlanta Law School.
Dr. Boone has been active in
the community as well as several organizations such as the Kennesaw
Business Association, which he co-founded in 1976. Today, it has grown to
over 300 members. Dr. Boone has been a member of the Optimist, Rotary, and
Kiwanis Clubs of Kennesaw. He has also served on the City Council in
Kennesaw, and has been active in the Cobb County Humane Society, the Cobb
County Veterinary Association, as well as the Georgia Veterinary Medical
Association. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Cobb EMC. He
has chaired the Audit and Budget Committee and has served on the Policy
and Public Relations Committee of Cobb EMC. Dr. Boone also serves as a
Director on the Board of Cobb Energy Management Corporation. He has served
on the Historic Preservation Commission of Kennesaw, and is Vice-chairman
of the Kennesaw Downtown Development Authority. He co-chairs the Citizens
Task Force Committee, who's goals are to assist the Mayor, Council and
other authorities to improve the quality of life in our historic
community.
In his free time, Dr. Boone
can be found "cruising" around town on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle or
at home riding his tractor!!
